Shade-of-Rouge: Milani Baked Blush - #2 Rose D'oro

7:43 PM

Hi fellas!!

It’s a very looooooooooong –ok that’s long– times ago since I wrote my last post. I admit it that I am a BAD blogger. Really. But I have one reason that makes me stop doing blogging things. I DON’T HAVE CAMERA. Period.

So, when I had a chance to capture some of my beauty product, I am very excited and can’t wait to write my review. But anyway, do you miss my review? OMG please do! *slapped

Today I would like to write a review about product that I bought long time ago. It’s around 1 year ago, maybe. I just forget. LOL~ So yeah, now it’s her turn to be reviewed. IDK, but I am craving into this blush and want to buy some more, but I was detained by my boyfriend because he thinks that I already have a lot of blusher. Blah!

Seriously, Milani Baked Blush is such a baby! Many people say it’s a dupe for MAC mineralize blush. But, let’s check my review first.

Product Description:
(taken from Milani Cosmetic)

"A luxurious powder blush that features a mélange infusion of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. Easy to use, sensorial in texture, the nuances of color become extraordinarily luminous. Silky smooth application leaves your face looking healthy and radiant all day."

I am sure there are 9 shades available and mine is Rose D'Oro

Ingredients:
(taken from Milani Cosmetic)

MMBL-10 & 11 Talc, Mica, Lauroyl Lysine, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Nylon-12, Isostearyl Sebacate, Diisostearyl Malate, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Diethylhexyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate Phenoxyethanol, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Glyceryl Stearate, Aluminum Hydroxide, PEG-75 Stearate, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492), Red 7 (CI 15850). +/- May Contain: Iron Oxide (CI 77499), Red 6 (CI 15850), Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Red 27 (CI 45410).

It comes with gold plastic packaging. Seems like Milani want to create some ‘luxury’ feeling through the packaging. It’s quite nice for me but not really attractive. The ‘Milani’ print on the cap is fading easily because I tortured it inside my make up pouch and make it rubbed like crazy, and I found that the cap can’t hold tightly. A little bit creepy thou. Pfft, I hope it only happen to me. The blush lifts like another lid and under that you will get your mirror and blush brush which good for travel, but It makes the packaging look ‘fat’ and bulky for me. I never use the blush and mirror however it isn't that bad.

Milani describes Rose D’Oro as a pink blush with gold shimmer. Oro means gold in Italian, and seems like Milani want to combine the pink color from rose with gold (oro) shimmer. But for me, it’s the most beautiful peachy coral shade with golden shimmer.  This blush is definitely my goal to get, though Caroline warned me that it could be looks brownish on skin, but she ended up push me to buy it  –she never no– since it will look great on my golden skin. And YASH! This baby is absolutely stunning on my skin tone. It gives me a beautiful natural-healthy-glow to my cheeks. But I hope that shimmer a little more subdued, then it would be more wearable. Ah just remembered, be careful since it’s very pigmented. I am not joking for this one. It’s REALLY REALLY PIGMENTED.

can you see the glitter?

The texture is smooth, silky, and buttery –yet it could cause any fall outs when you swipe it too hard. Ok maybe I am too excessive about the texture. But I swear you that I am not. It’s easy to blend and spread beautifully on my skin. And for the longevity, IDK is it normal or not, but it stands on my cheeks for 10 hours. NO JOKE!

Final Verdict :

This blush is a happy purchase. Absolutely! Still, it has any minor problems. The chunky shimmer and fall outs problem could bother you, but the texture and pigmentation will heal you. I say it could be a dupe for MAC mineralize blush if they come with less amount of glitter and more soft sheen finish. BUT, I never said Milani Baked Blush is bad. It’s a hype and definitely, the price is amazing! It’s VERY CHEAP! Woo hoo!

So, have you tried this baked blush? I hope you got a pleasant experience like me.

Jaa ne!
